-He is still a mover and displays his strength. In fact last night Jaime and I were eating dinner when Isaiah awoke from his nap. While trying to finish our meal before going to get him we watched (on the video monitor) as he became increasingly annoyed and wanted up out of his crib. So he lifts his head completely up and surprisingly flips himself over on his back. This freaked him out! He was crying so hard. It took us a solid five minutes of consoling before he recovered.
-At 2 mth ck up weighed 11 lbs 13 oz and was 23 inches long.
-Drinks 4 Oz's of formula at each feeding.
-His diet is now 100% formula and his GI tract did not have any problems adjusting. When I made him his first formula bottle he didn't even bat an eye lash to the new taste. You would have thought he had been drinking it since birth. . .go figure?!? At his 2 mth ck up his pediatrician recommended trying the Similac rice starch formula to try and keep him fuller longer and less spit up. Well the main reason I wanted it was in hopes that he would be able to sleep for longer stretches of time, but that hasn't worked in the least so we went back to the regular.
-He is a TERRIBLE sleeper. This boy only likes to sleep when being held. And when he does fall asleep and is put down for his naps the longest sleep stretch I get from him is 45 minutes and at night he only goes 3 hours before waking up. This is starting to wear on me tremendously. Last night (5/16/10) was the first night I let him cry it out. Every twenty minutes or so I would go in and console him but I was up from midnight to five until he finally fell asleep for his three hour stretch after sucking down 4 oz of formula. Will I ever get any sleep again? Will he ever start to sleep on his own for six hour stretches? God willing, because I am back to work in two weeks.
-This month we experienced the mall (4 hrs) and the grocery store on our own (without Jaime for backup:).
-Is soothed by my voice. So cool to have him all worked up and all I have to do is start speaking softly in his ear and he calms right down. I love that!!!
-Enjoys hanging out in his Einstein "sea world" play station.
-Still wearing 3-6 mth clothing.
It is so fun when they start smiling! I hope you get some sleep soon! Hailee was a horrible sleeper until 6 months but she finally got it and is a great sleeper still. But I had to get mean! With Cohen I was mean from the start! :) Sleep Deprivation is the worst!!
