Jonathan Turns One

Entry: October 19, 2012

-His curls are coming in and I am loving every centimeter of them.
-Still only has his top and bottom teeth-which means he is in full teething mode and DROOLS like NO baby I have ever seen.  Seriously, even with a bib on he soaks through his shirt and he needs to be changed at least three times a day.
-Miraculously with only four teeth he is quite the table food eater.  I have completely stopped giving him baby food and he happily eats right along with the food we have for each meal.  His favorite is barbecue chicken.
-Still sleeping like a champ as well.  This boy loves his crib and loves his sleep...just like his MAMA.   He is down every night by 7pm and up in the morning no later than 6:30am.  "Early to bed, early to rise," was the motto I was brought up with and still live by.  Can you tell?
-He is still grunting and mumbling quite a bit, but says a variety of words.  Nugget, Quincy, tree, car, truck, book, please...everyday it seems like he adds another word to his vocabulary.  He is quite the speaker compared to Isaiah at this age.

 -Isaiah has now started to call Jonathan, "John-John" instead of "Johnon," so appropriately we have all transitioned into calling him John-John.  I have tried referring to Jonathan as "Johnny," but Isaiah has been quick to instruct me that his name is John-John.
-All his kisses involve him saying, "MUAH" as he goes in to plant a nice WET kiss on your cheek.  A kiss only a mother could love:)
-Favorite hobbies are riding his Zebra, reading books, playing outside in the dirt, and following his big bro around.
