Nov 2013-Jonathan's BIG BOY Room&Bed

NOVEMBER 2013
Jonathan 2 years old

Jonathan has always found comfort and slept well in his crib.  Isaiah, on the other hand, always refused to sleep in his crib. When we decided our bed could no longer be an option, he was put into a twin bed at 18 months.  But when Jonathan turned 18 months he was very content sleeping in his crib.  It wasn't until one night recently around 2 am that Jaime and I woke up to Jonathan screaming "I'm stuck!  I'm stuck!"  When we raced in to see what was the matter, we found he had wedged his leg and foot in between the crib slates. That was my cue, that he was getting to big for his crib and he needed to be moved into a twin bed.
The day his new bed arrived and we took down his crib was bittersweet.  As we rushed to get the crib apart to make room for Jonathan's new bed,  I vividly remembered the evening I proudly rocked in the nursery recliner watching Jaime put it together.  I was seven months pregnant with Isaiah then.
Jaime even said he felt sad seeing the crib go (we sold it on Craigslist).  But new things, bring new beginnings.  The nursery decor that was used for both boys was brought down and Jonathan got a "big boy" room along with his "boy big" bed.  For the first couple nights when we would put him to bed, he would lay his head down on his pillow, close his eyes, grin, and say "take a picture."  My goodness, I love this boy!!!!

Saying good-bye...

J's last night in his crib.

Turning into such a BIG two-year old!

Along with the crib, everything in the nursery came down.  This picture was specially made for Isaiah, by a dear family friend.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a fixture in both of their nurseries.

Jonathan's NEW ROOM & BED!!!

Why Jonathan wasn't part of his "room debut" pictures-#1)Big bro always in the way #2 Over excitement involving ludicrous behavior does not bode well.

*Side Note-Jonathan has been obsessed with his pajamas.  He would wear them all day, everyday if I let him.  It has been a fight as of late to get him dressed for the day.  Hence, Isaiah dressed and Jonathan is not.
