What is it about my first born's birthdays?!?! Sometimes I think the excitement and thrill of seeing Isaiah have another birthday is better than Christmas. After the great birthday party we had the week before up at my parents house, I decided to keep his actual birthday "low key" but special. As he slept the night before Jaime and I quietly filled his room with brightly colored, helium balloons. When he woke up in the morning I was expecting to hear a shout of excitement from him, but instead he comes quietly into our room (like he does every morning) and snuggles himself in between the two of us (yes we both had his birthday off) and he says NOTHING?!?! When I turn to him and ask if he saw his balloons he gets a huge grin on his face and smiles. Not quite the response I was looking for, but he did become more animated when we all went in to check out his birthday balloon surprise. Then it was off to Pump It Up (a huge warehouse, filled with inflatables slides and play areas) with his brother and cousin Andrew, lunch at his favorite place Chick-Fil-A (because of the play ground), Sushi dinner with the whole Torres Family with cake and ice cream to follow. Isaiah had a great FOURTH.
| When Isaiah saw that he got a Big Wheel he asked for a juice box and sunglasses (anyone who has seen the movie Turbo knows what my silly four-year-old was referring too.) |
| Isaiah asked for a dinosaur cake, luckily he found it a real treat to stick his toy dinosaurs all over the chocolate frosting. Dinosaur Cake...WHALA! |
