Boys Begin to Share A Room

March 2015- Isaiah 5 years old and Jonathan 3.5 years old

In order to make room for our new baby girl we decided it would work out best to put Isaiah and Jonathan in one bedroom together.  I was feeling a bit anxious about doing it because when we would talk about it with the boys they both strongly voiced that they both still wanted their OWN rooms.  It just happened to work out to move Isaiah's bed into Jonathan's (the bigger) room when my parents came down for Isaiah's fifth birthday party.  And wouldn't you know neither one of them batted an eyelash at the "BIG CHANGE."  Literally not one word from Isaiah wanting his bedroom back or from Jonathan wanting Isaiah out of his bedroom.  It's as though they have been sharing a room from inception.  We have had a few things like Jonathan wanting the window shutters open while Isaiah wanting them closed during nap-time or one wants the ceiling  fan on while the other wants the fan off.  But these have been great, teachable life lessons for the both of them.  They have both been learning how to compromise and work with one another. And they both have been doing this beautifully.  It probably doesn't hurt that they are BEST FRIENDS either.
