Isaiah Turns FIVE

March 4th, 2015-Isaiah 5 years old and Jonathan 3 years old

I am in utter disbelief my first baby is five years old.  Even typing the age "FIVE" on this blog just feels weird. We hear time and time again, how fast the time goes and now with Isaiah turning five Jaime and I can't help but utter the same words, "it goes by so, so fast."  I thank God everyday that I've had the opportunity to fully enjoy and partake in Isaiah's life.  All those priceless days spent at home with him. I'm so lucky to have been able to go part-time and relish in his babyhood.  A baby no more, I take nothing for granted.
On the day of Isaiah's birthday I wanted to make it extra special for him so we stopped and bought doughnuts for him and his classmates.  I had never stuck around Isaiah's classroom until snack time, but I wanted to share the moment with him, so on this day I did.  I think having me there threw him off.  He came over to me and whispered in my ear, "can you leave?"  So, I quietly stepped out, thinking I would go visit Jonathan's class until it was time to sing Isaiah happy birthday and have doughnuts.  Well, when his teacher came back to get me he was in tears but would not say why.  Turns out he thought I had left and I guess he didn't really want me too.  He quietly ate his doughnut with his cheerful classmates and baby bro who got to come over and enjoy one too.  OH WHAT to do WITH MY ISAIAH?!?!  I tell you, he is so much like me.
After school I picked him up and told him I was taking him to frozen yogurt and Toys R Us to pick out whatever toy he wanted (Jaime was away on business).  He was much more cheerful at this point and ecstatic after he got home with his StarWars space ship he picked out for himself.
That weekend we had a little birthday party for him at Pump It Up with a few of his preschool friends and family.  He had a blast and wants to have his birthday there again next year.

This is his birthday gift he picked out on his birthday.

He is SO obsessed with Star Wars right now.  This is us returning to TOYs R US
to spend some of his birthday money.

Of course, on MORE Star Wars paraphernalia.
